Zooheterotopias refer to the concept of “other spaces” or places within zoos or animal enclosures that exist in contrast to their surrounding environment. In conspiracy theories, this term might be used metaphorically to describe secret or hidden locations where strange or forbidden experiments on animals; or even humans; are conducted, away from the public eye.
