My mom is friends with a mass shooters parents. We were kind of friends when we were younger, mainly bc our parents did stuff together. His family is highly respected and very religious in the town I grew up in. I am fairly sure that all the kids in that family were homeschooled. The official story is that he was mentally ill, but I don’t think that is true. He never had issues with mental illness. He did have what could be considered a drinking problem. If you knew the guy, you would never expect to see him connected to a mass shooting.
