Once a highly respected student of Freud he became reviled in later years as a madman and was ultimately institutionalised for building cloudbusting machines which sine viewed as deadly weapons. He believed UFOs were caused by orgasmic energies among other things. The fantastic song Cloudbusting by Kate Bush is about Reichs downfall from the perspective of his son.
