Basically, that selfishness among modern humans is the result of a literal virus/pathogen. It’s shares the same root as ‘wendigo’ and has a similar spiritual taboo attached towards discussing it. This is more suited to be talked about in it’s own thread, as it’s about a belief among many indigenous peoples that has some scholarship attached to it.
