A mythical snake-like creature in Japanese folklore, often described as short, fat, and capable of jumping great distances. Sightings of the Tsuchinoko have been reported throughout Japan, with theories suggesting it could be a surviving prehistoric species or an undiscovered animal. Despite numerous alleged encounters, no definitive proof of its existence has been found.
