The only reason anything is obscured is because you are the only one able to convince yourself of anything. Thus the mustard seed metaphor: You’re given enough information to dwell on so that when you’ve completed thought on that subject, you are ready for the next thought to ponder. **History is not nearly as simple as conspiracy theories posit with their grand narratives that tie up every loose end in a paranoid knot. This would be simply a skeptical position to conspiracy theories in general. Conspiracy theories are a cope, to deal with the horrific idea that no one is in control of the ship, and humanity is just blundering toward its doom not through the machinations of any ancient organization committed to cosmic oblivion, but through its own stupidity and error.
