The Madness Of The Anabaptists At Munster, 1532

Level 3 – Deep Web

From /x/: “This was one of the earliest examples of Jesuit trickery, happening even before the official formation of the society. The papists, attempting (as they naturally do) to subvert the Reformation and regain power in Europe, polluted the water and food supplies of the anabaptists with a variety of poisons, hallucinogenics, and deliriants in order to create a large episode of mass psychosis (somewhat similar to that which occurred during the Salem Witch Trials, caused by ergot, although to a worse degree). The insanity led to the rebellion, which occurred thereafter as is generally recorded.”
