Phantom Time
Theory
The Phantom Time Hypothesis, proposed by Heribert Illig, suggests that a portion of history, specifically between 614 and 911 AD, has been fabricated or added to the timeline, meaning that we are actually living in the 1700s, not the 2000s. According to this theory, the early medieval period, including events like Charlemagne’s reign, never occurred, and this period was artificially inserted into history by the Vatican, the Holy Roman Empire, or other powers for reasons such as legitimizing political claims.
