While officially ended in the 1970s, the MKULTRA conspiracy posits that the CIA’s notorious mind control program never truly stopped—it merely went deeper underground. Proponents of this theory believe that MKULTRA’s experiments in mind control, psychological manipulation, and drug-induced hypnosis continue to this day, possibly under new code names or as part of other covert projects. The ongoing MKULTRA operations are thought to involve the testing of new techniques and technologies on unwitting subjects, including the use of electromagnetic fields, subliminal messaging, and even genetic engineering. These modern iterations of MKULTRA could be behind some of the inexplicable behaviors and events we see today, from mass shootings to bizarre public outbursts.
