The name NASA technicians semijokingly gave to whatever cosmic trickster was causing all allowed their mars expeditions to go wrong. Of course not meant as a literal gremlin but once the term reached the conspiracy folks it had accrued a new folkloric resonance as a supernatural creature of some sort.
