So in gnosticism there is this dude know as yaldaboth who is basically supposed to be the old testament god. He created all of physical reality and everything in it. Thing is, there is more than just physical reality, and yaldaboth is blind to all that, so he was created in what was to him an empty universe, created physical reality, and i guess trapped a bunch of immaterial souls made of concepts inside physical bodies in a physical world where theres stuff like pain, suffering, and death.But then Jesus came along and he shows everybody the way out of this neverending carousel of horror we call life and into conceptual land where imaginary numbers and perfectly squared circles exist and there’s cake served every tuesday.
