Empty Internet

Level 3 – Deep Web
CONSPIRACY

Empty internet Conspiracy that most of the people you talk to in relative anonymity online don’t actually exist. Their responses are manufactured by powerful artificial intelligence in order to isolate you and keep you occupied. When you come online, you don’t actually share information with your fellow man, you unwittingly converse with a manyfaced machine. And so we’re kept in the dark. Network Engineer here. No. Captcha doesn’t prove that, but packet routing analysis does. Someone is on the other side. Can there be a middle man AI?There is. The technological equivalent of the postal service exists as a functioning separate organism.Billy sends an email to grandma.Grandma gets it.Humans do not actively deliver this message. It is delivered by a system we created and trust to work properly. Can something else be going on in between? Yes. Lots is going on in between. Every single router hop, the message is reread, stored in cache, and retransmitted.Laymen tend to imagine that the data gets directly delivered.Really, the data is travelling a path very similar to our road and interstate system. It has to stop at intersections. It waits for the green light, then goes again. It follows a set of rules and performs a series of starts, stops, over and over, until it reaches it’s destination. It can just do the same trip you would make, faster.Humans stop at a red light, then accelerate to between 25200 miles per hour.Electrons stop at an electron red light then accelerate to nearly the speed of light, until the next intersection.Something initiates the communication on both ends, but how many people that you know in real life, do you communicate with over the internet, That process happens for every single emoji, where are you?, wanna netflix?, get on discord, let’s league, etc…Ok, think about your number, maybe you communicate with 3 or 4 friends online, like this?Ok, each of those friends does too. etc…XXXThe idea that a large portion of the posts you see online are bots. Some say its just a quarter, others the majority of posters. Few believe the solipsistic idea that the idea is literally empty. The internet is mostly void and you are talking to bots and at most like 300 other people total.
