Clifford Book Incident

Level 4 – Charter Web

Copy Of Book Called “Clifford The Big Red Dog Reads Hegel”, In Which Clifford And His Owner Visit A Library To Become Smarter. After Taking Hegel’S Famous Phenomenology Of Spirit Off The Shelf, And Reading The First Line, The Book Descends Into A Psychotic Digression Into The True Nature Of Reality And Consciousness, Arguing That Since Whoever Reading The Book Is Obviously Conscious Enough To Experience It, That The Reader Must Be The Most Conscious Being In The Universe By Virtue Of The Fact He Is Not Experiencing Himself From The Vantage Point Of Anyone Else. The Author Claims That Because He Can Clearly Remember Writing The Book, That He, Too, At One Time Was The Most Conscious Being In Reality, And Now That Has Been Passed Onto Whoever Is “Here” Enough To Be Reading His Words. Testing Was Halted For Fear Of Placing Universe In Ontological Jeopardy, Given The Fact That Whoever Has Not Read The Book Cannot Be Said To Exist In Any Real Sense.
