Synchronicity

I’ll try and add a bit of recommended reading/listening to these but I’m skipping huge gaps at this point because I just don’t know them. Jung spoke on synchronicity a lot – meaningful coincidence. Jung thought that coincidence was because of the manifestation of parallel events (each choice creates a new timeline, basically) and this demonstrated justification in decision. Terrance McKenna also speaks of this extensively – can be found on youtube.

Dinoceros Helped To Build The Pyramids

I believe this is a play (joke) in response to the “Dinosaurs helped build the pyramids” topic. Dinoceros are characters from a rpg video game called Ni no Kuni. The Dinoceros are uncommonly strong ceatures that can lift the heaviest of objects with ease, and are notable for the lengths to which they will go in order to help out their companions.

This is absolutely true. Advertising and marketing has become so sophisticated we can’t tell when we are being sold something and we’re not even sure if we genuinely wanted to buy it. This type of manipulation can be used to persuade people to not only products, but tv shows and movies, songs, and of course political affiliation.
