Another Modem topic, so no definitive answers. There are places in the planet that see 6 months of darkness in the winter, the Artic and Antarctic. I think Modem was suggestion something else though, perhaps a blocking out of the sun for two weeks, maybe an eclipse that lasts that long, a sign of the end of times.
