Lamarckianism is the theory of inheritance of acquired characteristics, proposed by Jean-Baptiste Lamarck. Although largely discredited in favor of Darwinian evolution, some conspiracy theories suggest that Lamarckian ideas are still valid and suppressed, possibly because they could reveal hidden truths about human potential or evolution.
