Time travelling North Korean H-Bomb accident caused mass extinction

This originated in a hoax thread on /x/. But it remains a real threat. A recent find by a scientist (see link 3) now claims that traveling faster than the speed of light is possible. You can imagine what type of technology will be created in the future and if time travel is possible whats the likelyhood that a country or some type of powerful entity would take different forms of their technology and introduce it to themselves at an earlier time, exponentially advancing all of their technology. Now imagine the likelyhood of someone bringing a weapon into the past to advance their military. Accidents happen all the time.
