“Accelerationism” is the idea that the only way to overcome the current socio-political order is to accelerate its inherent contradictions, pushing systems like capitalism and technology to their breaking points. Theorists argue that by doing so, society could force a rapid transformation, potentially leading to either utopia or dystopia.
